Comedy is a lighter dramas that are entertaining and includes hilarious dialogue that is satirical and usually end up happy. funny is not the main goal in the skit, but this drama is humorous and the author hopes will generate some humor or laughter. cuteness is not the main goal, then value dramatic than comedic, although mild is still maintained. Dramatic value is not sacrificed for the sake of looking for a joke "Geer". It is this different from the slapstick "farce" that is easy to sacrifice dramatic value of play in order to achieve that cuteness.


Dramatic comedy show character stupid, silly, or character wise but funny. In our funnies familiar figures such as Mr. Belalang, Mr. Pandir, Mr. Luncai, Abu Nawas, and Kabayan which is a funny character. The stories are witty character we meet dumb (dumb), as in Mr. Pandir, Mr. Palembang, and character wise but funny as in the Abu Nawas, Weasel bearded, and Si Kabayan.

Comedy figures in addition to whacky or wise figures may also be a foolish old man who fell in love with teenage girls, conceited dandy who exaggerated style, so the fall and put to shame, that wily bandit caught by figures which did not appear helpless, and so forth. To understand the cultural background of comedy needed understanding of where the comedy came from.

For a certain audience a comedy might be deemed too high by other spectators, the same comedy may be too low. And appreciation of the audience relates to understanding the cultural background of a comedy. With the power of high appreciation, an audience capable of understanding a comedy and is able to laugh by the cuteness that is implicit in the comedic dialogue. Suitability of culture and experience influence the least funny comedy. But there is also a great comedy is universal.
